"No credentials" / "No active credentials for provider" — connecting an account

What does "no credentials" mean?

kRouter has no usable account for the provider you addressed. Either none is connected, or every connected one is currently locked, banned or exhausted.

Why does it happen?

Most often the provider simply has not been connected yet. It also appears when every account is parked at once — for example all of them rate limited, or one banned account being the only one you had.

How do I fix it?

   Connect the provider in the dashboard, then retry.

   Check the connection cards: kRouter shows why each account is unavailable and when it returns, rather than leaving you guessing.

   If an account was banned upstream, fix it there and click Test connection — a successful call restores it to rotation.

   Add a second account so a single lockout stops taking the provider offline entirely.

Is it really this error?

These get mistaken for each other, and chasing the wrong one is where the time goes.

What will not fix it

Reasonable-sounding fixes that do not apply here — worth ruling out before you spend an afternoon on them.

• Regenerating your kRouter API key.

  That key authenticates you TO kRouter. This error is about kRouter's credentials for the upstream provider.

• Restarting kRouter.

  Lock state is persisted deliberately, so a restart does not hand back quota you have already spent.

What kRouter does automatically

kRouter parks that model on that account for 2 minutes. It immediately fails over to your next connected account or provider, so the request still completes.
